Was one of the greats of Lindy Hop in the Kat's Corner at the Savoy Ballroom in Harlem, New York City, NY in the 1930s. After Seben, 1929 film short, shows an excellent example of Shorty dancing right at the time the Charleston was making it's transition to the Lindy - it wasn't quite Lindy yet.
